The capybara, which means water hog can weight up to 150 pounds and can grow
to be 4 feet long and 2 feet tall! They are primarily only live near bodies of water
but sleep in dense vegetation to asvoid predators. They are very social creatures and
usually will be in groups with about 10 members but can be larger than that
and lead by one dominant male. The capybara population is not in as big of
a threat as other species that live in the Amazon.
