New York Knicks Basketball

The Knicks had more success this year. Finishing the year off above-500, with a record of 42-40, the team managed to make the playoffs. With newly signed addition of star, Amar'e Stoudemire, and trades to pick up Chauncey Billups; former allstar, potential NBA Hall of Famer, and former champion, and Carmelo Anthony; also potential and most probable to be an NBA Hall of Famer, the team looked to have a different mindset going into the end of the 2010-11 season. A final push for the playoffs. Ultimately setting them up for the futre. As a sixth seed, facing the three seeded Boston Celtics, the team fell short, being swept that round. This in due time and years to come would become a repeating trend for the ball-club. The Celtics were always a problem for a team with a frontcourt of Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce, and a guard backcourt of Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen, the team had problems with the Celtics. An improvement from the previous 2009-10 season, the Knicks were looking to use this new wave of success into the next year.
