There are several players that were inducted into the Hall of Fame that played on the New Jersey Nets.
The following players were inducted into the Hall of Fame:
Rick Barry, Nate Archibald, Julius Erving, Bob McAdoo, Drazen Petrovic, Mel Daniels, and Bernard King.
Along with these players, the Nets had some coaches that coached for the team at some point, get inducted into the Hall of Fame.
These coaches are Lou Carnesscecca, Chuck Daly, and Larry Brown.
Along to these names, there were several names whose number got retired.
The following people had their numbers retired:
- Drazen Petrovic-His number was three
- Wendell Ladner-His number was four
- Jason Kidd-His number was five
- John Williamson-His number was twenty-three
- Bill Melchionni- His number was twenty-five
- Julius Erving- His number was thrity-two
- Buck Williams-His number was fifty-two
The most recent player to get his number retired was Jason Kidd.
Jason Kidd played for the team from 2001-2008, and had many accolades along the way.
He helped the team to two NBA finals appearances, multiple Atlantic Division Titles,
and had some All Star appearances as well. Along with this, Jason Kidd made his coaching debut
with the Brooklyn Nets. He coached the team from 2013-2014. He helped the Brooklyn Nets make
the 2014 NBA Playoffs, but unfortunately they lost to the Toronto Raptors. He left the Brooklyn Nets
to coach the Milwaukee Bucks in 2014, and he is currently the head coach there.
