Bryn Athyn Women's Soccer is the best activity at Bryn Athyn. Bryn Athyn Women's Soccer team has the best community out of all the teams at Bryn Athyn and in our conference. Our team is more than just teammates, we are family. As a freshman, all the girls on our team were all very welcoming and kind. I never met a group of girls as nice as them.
Although our season was not perfect there were some awesome moments. One of my favorite memories was our 7 a.m. morning Halloween practice. One of my teammates and I dressed up as Oompa-Loompas. Some of our other teammates dressed up as the Simpsons. Another one of my favorite memories was our game against Gwynedd Mercy University. It was one of the first games of the season and we won 2-1. Lastly, one of my last favorite memories was our last game in Quarter Finals. Although we lost, we were tied 0-0 during the first half against the number one team in our conference. We only had two subsitutes, so it was pretty impressive and our team put up a good fight.
Bryn Athyn Women's College soccer program began in the 2016-2017 season. Bryn Athyn Women's soccer won three conference championships. They won in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Unfortunately, March 26th, 2025, our athletics were cut.
The end of the program is heartbreaking for everyone who was apart of it. The community and culture the women's soccer team brought to the school was like no other and the friendships we made will always be apart of us. Even though Bryn Athyn may never compete on the field again, the legacy of the players, coaches, and supporters will continue to inspire us all. No matter where we all end up, the bond we shared as a team will never be broken.
