Parents like to make it seem as if gaming is bad for you. Only if they knew that gaming was a good result for some children. For instance, if you are a person who loves to play video games competitively, you would understand that communication is key. Communication in games are so important and if you don't think that gaming helps develop that type of ability, you are definitely wrong. Some people can go without it, while some of us are antisocial and don't like talking to people. We like to keep to ourselves and keep it at that. If we are communicating with people on the game, it helps us build more of a confidence to talk to people outside of the game. It helps you create conversation and enlongate it at that fact. I have experienced it firsthand. I am a antisocial person and when I was younger, I was too scared to talk to people in the real-world. When I would get home, I would go onto my game and speak freely to friends. I would be able to have conversations with no problem whatsoever. After a few months of doing that over and over, my confidence started to build up and I started to talk to people in the real-world. Most of the friends that I have today was because of my confidence. Now I speak to them like I knew them my whole life. Gaming also helps alot with hand-eye coordination. Knowing the buttons to press, when to press it, it gives you reflexes. Gaming is such a wonderful thing and Im surprised that some people have not tried to understand our side of the story. It also has it disadvantages, but this is not what this is about. I want to only talk about the good parts. The bad parts can stay where it is.
