Annoying Website Features

As of today there are over a billion websites on the world wide web. Many of these websites are being used by millions of people daily. When it comes to using webpages, people want the most amount of productivity with the least amount of distractions. While many websites provide simple and stress-free browsing, others tend to be very difficult for numerous reasons. Here are three things that some webpages do that annoy me.

# 1. Too much color

Some web designers use an excessive amount of color on their webpages. It can work two ways: it can be either very fun and entertaining or it can be very overwhelming..

Pennyjuice and Constellation are two websites that I consider unnecessary colorful and extremely overwhelming.

# 2. Too much advertisement

There are websites that have way too many advertisements on their pages. I understand that it is a money maker, however it can make navigating through the page very confusing and complicated. Too much advertisement blocks on websites results in slower browsing speeds and can lead to people quitting the website and finding an alternative to use that has less to none ads.

Kiplinger and Forbes are both good examples of a website with too many adds.

# 3. Too much Clutter ☝ ☜ ☟ ☞ 😱

Another thing that annoys me about certain websites is when the pages have way too much information on them. Too many links, pictures, boxes, fonts, etc.. Some pages are cluttered enough to cause a headache from simply looking at them.

Lingscars and Gatesnfences are two websites that I believe can make people very frustrated with the overwhelming context and the organization of the webpage.
